  • House Bill 5019 passes to create 100 new shelter beds and rehouse 450 households in rural Oregon by June 2025

  • House Bill 2001 passes to provide more affordable housing options statewide

 

April 2023

  • EO 23-02 funding is allocated and released
  • OHCS listening groups across the Balance of State inform funding

 

May 2023

  • Homelessness prevention programs relaunch to prevent evictions and increase rental assistance

 

June 2023

  • 16 Local Planning Groups (LPGs) are established in rural Oregon

  • Multi-Agency Coordination (MAC) Groups establish subgrantee contracts

 

July 2023

  • Funds become available for rural Oregon

  • LPGs submit community plans

 

October 2023

  • Funding is allocated and released for rural Oregon

 

October–December 2023

  • Emergency response work continues

 

January 2024

  • EO 23-02 ends
  • Governor Kotek signs EO 24-02 to extend the emergency response efforts
  • State Bill 5511 provides continued resources to EO 23-02 regions
