Our Stories: Unete
Unete breaks barriers to protect Oregon farmworkers

Kathy and Dago created Unete in 1996 to advocate for the rights of farmworkers, immigrants, and community members in Medford, Oregon. Dago grew up in an indigenous community, and his personal experience to inspires Unete’s mission.
Having received executive order funding following a drought, the COVID-19 pandemic, and wildfires, Unete has been able to expand its operation to provide emergency housing, rent, vaccines, and other services.
The organization aims to continue breaking down barriers to help members of Medford’s most vulnerable communities thrive.
